Project Updates
Beardsley St & Hwy 28 Project
- MidAm is working on street light installation. A few work items remain to be done this spring, including surface restoration, and then the project will be complete.
Golden Valley Drive Reconstruction
- Golden Valley Drive between Lakewood Dr and Wakonda Dr will be reconstructed this year. The water main will also be replaced. Work will likely begin in April and last until fall.
Hwy 28 & Hwy 5 Exit Ramp Traffic Signals
- Project has been awarded and Contractor has begun ordering materials. Pole footing installation and underground work will start in March. Poles expected to be delivered and installed in July.
Hwy 28 and Chatham Ave Improvements Project
- All paving work is complete. Temporary signals are being utilized until the permanent equipment is delivered. Permanent signals should be operational this summer.
Other Projects
- Wright Road Water Main improvements are ongoing. New transmission main is undergoing testing. Once testing is completed, final connections can occur.
- 2024 Street Rehab Project will focus in the Founder's area. Work will occur this summer/fall.
- The Sanitary Sewer Lift Station (80th Ave/E 27th St) project is nearing completion.
- Norwalk Central Water Tower design is progressing. Construction should begin this fall.
- Design for reconstruction of Bluestem Rd and Prairie Sage Dr is ongoing. Construction may start fall of 2024 and should be complete fall of 2025.
