New Resident Guide

The City of Norwalk is the southern most suburb of the Greater Des Moines Metropolitan Area! The City has a variety of parks for residents and visitors. We manage 75 acres of parkland ranging in size from 1 acre to 40 acre park. Our parks offer a variety of activities such as fishing, basketball, baseball, softball, soccer, disc golf, skate boarding, playground equipment and Iowa's first challenge course.

Norwalk has an ever growing economy, offering metro living with a retro feeling! We are consistently ranked as one of Iowa's safest cities. Residents typically know their neighbors and enjoy a great quality of life with low crime, and phenomenal schools.
