2018 Curb Side Event
Norwalk Spring Clean Up

**This service is for City of Norwalk residential garbage customers only**

All items must be placed at the curb
no later than Monday, May 14, at 6:00 am

•   Garbage in bags or containers must be 50 pounds or less.

•   Regular trash and Compost It! will be picked up on your normal collection day.

•   No concrete or construction material will be accepted.

•   Appliances, tv’s & electronics are not accepted at the Curb Side Event.  See DROP OFF 
information below.

*PLEASE NOTE: Household Hazardous Waste WILL NOT be collected this year.  Year round drop off

Location: Public Works – 2626 North Avenue


For City of Norwalk RESIDENTIAL garbage customers ONLY proof of residency required (photo ID & City 
water/garbage bill)

Tire Disposal

•    Residential customers are allowed up to Five (5) tires (off rims) per household.
•    Non-Accepted Tire Items: tires from any business, farm or tractor tires, solid tires such as 
lawnmower, forklift or golf cart tires, and tires containing hazardous materials.

Appliance & E-Waste Disposal
This is the only time stickers are NOT required.  This will be the only date appliances and e-waste 
will be accepted at the Public Works Facility.
Appliances include: refrigerators, freezers, kitchen ranges, air conditioning units, dehumidifiers, 
water heaters, furnaces, thermostats, washers/dryers, dishwashers and microwave ovens.
E-Waste Items include: TV’s, stereos, monitors, computers and related items.

Paper Shredding
Each Household can bring up to five (5) bankers boxes of paper records for shredding.
All of the shredded material and cardboard boxes are recycled.
Please make sure your records are paper only and are not wet or moldy
(no hard plastics, no plastic bags, no electronic media, and no three-ring binders).
Iron Mountain will be providing on-site shredding from 7 am – Noon.

Wood Chips & Turf Gold Premium Compost
FREE Wood Chips and Turf Gold Premium Compost will be available to residents.
Limited quantities.  Available while supplies last.
Bring containers and load yourself.
Limit 1 cubic yard each.
