Beginning Guitar
For children age 12 - 15.  
Take up a brand new instrument this summer and learn basic chords, notes, and maybe even some famous rock solos.  Note: A guitar is necessary to participate.

Participants should have a basic knowledge of guitar frets, basic chords, and basic rhythm patterns.

Chess benefits student's focus, sportsmanship, problem solving, mental fortitude, and more.  Co-hosted by National Chess Master and former state champion Nathan Hoover, YEL Online Chess Lessons are immersive, engaging, and rich with content. For children 7 - 11.  Amaze your family and friends with prestidigitation and legerdemain (magic tricks...that is).  Students will use common household items (deck of cards, paper clips, pencils, etc.) to learn and perform magic tricks. Get ready to wreck the internet with awesome Instagram posts of your kiddo doing magic. Join the class where the focus is on hocus-pocus!

NOTE: We will send a full list of necessary items prior to the first class.

Fencing Intro
For children age 8 -14.  FENCING - The sport for the intellectual athlete. 50% workout; 50% lecture; 100% awesome! (I know that equals 200%, but math was never my strong suit :-)

Have you heard about the Olympic sport of fencing but you aren’t sure if this sport for the intellectual athlete is right for you? Do you want to get a great workout and learn an awesome new sport. Join former MN State Champions Jacob Mickelson and Paddy Murphy for an introduction to the fast paced sport of fencing!

Participants should have a safe space that is approximately 14x10 feet with no obstructions. Participants should wear clothes they can move in.
Note: It is recommend that students purchase a fencing glove, mask, and foil, but this is not necessary for the introductory class.

For children age 12 - 16.  We will walk students through the steps of making a Tres-Chis skirt, an owl ear bud case and more in this
live, interactive online class.

• Parents will need to have their own sewing machine with needles, thread, bobbins, etc.
• We will send a list of other supplies once you register. Supplies are common sewing supplies and should cost less than $20 per participant.
