Based on information and advice from the CDC, State of Iowa, Warren County Health and local emergency services we have made decisions to alter our services. * All parks have been winterized. Park restrooms are closed for the winter.

The City of Norwalk has a variety of parks for residents and visitors.  We manage 75 acres of parkland ranging in size from 1 acre to 40 acre park.  Our parks offer a variety of activities such as fishing, basketball, baseball, softball, soccer, disc golf, skate boarding, playground equipment and Iowa's first challenge course.

The Norwalk city ordinance does not allow any alcohol or tobacco in any of our city parks or sports complex.  Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Bike Trails 

The City maintains several miles of linear recreational trails. Trails are both on and off street. The most recent addition to our trail system goes through Warrior Park to the Orchard Hills Elementary School.

 

Park Shelter Reservations
Park shelter houses may be reserved starting the first business day of the new year.  They are available any day of the week during the hours of 8:00 am to 9:00 pm.
