  • Babies and Toddlers: Birth through 2 years
  • Kids: 3 years through entering 5th grade
  • Teens: entering 6th grade through 12th
  • Adults: 18 and older, or graduated from high school

Q: When is the program?
A: Registration is June 1st - July 20th. The first prize is available June 4th, and the last official day for drawings and prizes is July 27th. There will be a pool party July 27th for finishers of the kids and teen programs.

Q: What do I need to do to participate?
A: It’s easy!

  • Sign up at the library starting June 1st and get a reading log.
  • Keep track of reading on your reading log. Instructions are on the front.
  • When you finish a row, get a stamp and a prize! (Adults: Enter the drawing)
  • Babies through teens can also enter a grand prize drawing once a day just for visiting the library!

Q: Do audio-books count? Do comic books count? Does being read to count?
A: YES! We’re flexible, we just want you to enjoy reading this summer!

Q: How many prizes can I get at once?
A: Each week, one new prize will be available. You can get multiple prizes to catch up on past weeks, but you can’t go ahead.

Q: What else is going on at the library this summer?
A: A lot! For a listing of all events, pick up a brochure or bookmark from the library, check out our online calendar, Facebook page, or library website.

Q: Can kids and teens volunteer for the summer reading program?
A: Yes! We need volunteers to help at the prize desk and at events! Fill out our volunteer form online or ask for a paper form at the front desk. Volunteers must be entering 2nd grade or older.
